Mandate first
The decision and exclusions define the research.
The firm
Meridian works with principals, family capital and investment teams where a private-market question is important enough to warrant a maintained research record.
Purpose
The practice begins with a defined decision. It maps the relevant market, tests ownership and constraints, records conflicting evidence and prepares only what warrants closer review.
Research does not substitute for investment judgment. It gives that judgment a clearer and more accountable basis.
Principles
The decision and exclusions define the research.
Facts, claims, inferences and open questions remain distinct.
Research informs review; it does not confer transaction authority.

The work
Meridian is a research desk before it is anything else. Each engagement is a maintained record — evidence gathered, resolved and challenged in one place — held to the standard a principal would apply to their own capital.
The research architecture ↗Who we work with
Meridian works with family offices, principals, investment teams and holding companies that deploy patient, direct capital — and, on the other side of the same market, with the owners and operators of quality businesses who need to reach that capital on the right terms.
The common thread is a decision that matters enough to warrant a maintained research record, and a preference for a smaller, better-evidenced set of options over a larger, noisier one.
Capital formation ↗Field of view
Selected work may extend across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, the Gulf and Asia-Pacific. Each assignment begins with the relevant local entity, regulator, filing system, permission and commercial record.
