Research architecture
A decision should carry its evidence.
Meridian connects market structure, entity identity, public records and commercial relevance into a maintained decision record.
The research system
From the world outside to the decision inside.
The work begins beyond a target list. It asks what governs an industry, which entities occupy the critical positions, what could invalidate the conclusion and why the answer matters to a specific principal.
Global public-record context
Local evidence. One connected view.
Corporate, ownership, securities, regulatory, insolvency, procurement, court, intellectual-property and company records are resolved in their local context before they are connected.
Explore research corridors ↗Evidence estate
The record is broader than a filing.
Each source category answers a different part of the question. Joining them requires identity resolution, dates, provenance and explicit treatment of conflict.
Legal name, jurisdiction, officers, control and status — Companies House, ACRA, and state and national registers, resolved with GLEIF identifiers.
Filings, holdings, financings and changes in control — SEC EDGAR, Form D private placements, and exchange and beneficial-ownership disclosures.
Authority, restrictions, eligibility and operating boundaries — FCA, MAS, CMS provider records and sector licensing and accreditation registers.
Proceedings, claims, restructurings and creditor context — federal and national court, bankruptcy and insolvency systems.
Public demand signals, counterparties and project context — government procurement, awards and public-project systems, and Census and business-pattern data.
Technology, supply-chain and operating evidence — patent and trademark offices, trade records and company disclosures.
Across four corridors, the desk reads public record from more than a dozen national and supranational systems — every entity resolved to a single identity layer, dated and provenanced, before records are joined.
The systems are public; the resolution, the connections and the judgement are not. Public systems are research inputs, not affiliations — availability, timeliness and evidential weight vary by jurisdiction and source.
Live market signal
The private market, filing in real time.
These figures describe the maintained estate rather than a feed. Each record is resolved to an entity before it is counted, so the same company appearing in four systems under four spellings is one company here — which is the work, and the reason the estate answers questions a search cannot.
Drawn from public statutory filings across Meridian's research corridors. Aggregate counts only; non-advisory. · as of 15 September
Core structural lens
MEDG
What hidden dependency constrains this industry?
MEDG looks beneath category labels to the permissions, infrastructure, suppliers and bottlenecks that shape commercial outcomes.
Framework family
Twelve bounded questions. Four movements.
Structural lenses describe the market; review controls challenge what appears true; relationship and commercial lenses test relevance; the briefing layer preserves the source trail.
Coverage varies by market and evidence availability. A framework name is not a claim of completeness.
The instruments
One question at a time.
What hidden dependency constrains this industry?
Structural lens
Who actually occupies this dependency?
Entity lens
If this dependency changes, what changes downstream?
Structural lens
Can money recreate this asset, or only permission?
Structural lens
How sovereign is this supply chain?
Structural lens
Which kind of confidence is this, exactly?
Evidence control
What is the hypothesis, and what sits beneath it?
Evidence control
What would prove this wrong?
Challenge control
Where may Meridian currently be wrong?
Review control
Who cares, and what supports that view?
Relationship lens
Why does this matter commercially?
Commercial lens
How do these elements compose into a briefing?

Research in practice
What the work becomes.
The output is selected for the decision—not produced for volume.
Industry map
The dependency, value chain and entities that matter.
Entity dossier
Identity, ownership, permission, events and source history.
Constraint brief
What is scarce, why it matters and what could change.
Principal memo
Decision relevance, open questions and the evidence beneath them.
Illustrative workspace

A public-safe study shows how mandate context, the research universe, a bounded review queue and source-trailed briefings can remain connected.
Evidence standard
The conclusion keeps its limit.
Material work separates verified facts, attributed claims, inferences and open questions. A poor fit or missing evidence is a useful result.
